Week 7

Week seven - an intense week filled with a variety of eight different shoots. And that's exactly as I want it to be. I've been thrown out on missions where you had no idea of what to expect and missions you've done before. But last week, I did my very first work for Göteborgs Postens Web TV in connection to IFK Göteborgs training at Ullevi. And this week I got to do it again during a portrait shoot with a martial arts practitioner. But I have to wait to show the material from this work cause it hasn’t been published just yet.

Anyhow. My week started on Monday with two different shoots. The first one was with two of Kopparberg FCs new US acquisitions. And later that evening, I did my first handball game, which always has been a sport I’ve pushed aside. But this evening I fell for it because it was an incredibly fun sport to shoot with a variety of inspiring movements to capture. And on Tuesday evening I did shoot the annual meeting of Örgryte IS, which was a bit strange because I have such a strong connection to my beloved team, GAIS. But work is work, and it will always be.

The week continued with the portrait shoot of the martial artists, an ice hockey training for Frölunda and my second handball game. And yesterday I photographed the game between IFK Göteborg and Kalmar at Ullevi, the same time when GAIS playes a game a few hundred meters away… A strange feeling, but once again, work is work. But somehow I enjoyed it even though I had two completely different teams in front of the lens. Football is always football when it comes to photography. A sport that is closest to my heart when it comes to shooting sports. And I actually think this game may have been my best coverage so far, according to me. Some lovely light with a variety of action moments.

However, my long week ended today at Prioritet Serneke Arena where I photographed the event and conference called “Framtidens Fotboll” (in English the future of football). This is also a job I can’t show just yet. So stay tuned!
